Workshop Description:
The workshop includes a series of interactive lectures and small-group teaching. The scientific content covers crucial aspects of management of sepsis, with a special emphasis on the most recent international guidelines. Early detection, appropriate timely interventions, and advanced therapeutic options will be discussed within a practical clinical framework using common case scenarios and advanced teaching methodology. The attendants will have plenty of time to consolidate their knowledge, acquire advanced insight, and understand controversies in sepsis
Learning objectives:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- To understand the phenotypes and endotypes of sepsis
- To implement Sepsis stewardship programs to improve sepsis outcomes
- To early identify sepsis and initiate appropriate diagnostic work-up
- To timely initiate and adjust appropriate antimicrobial therapy
- To implement appropriate hemodynamic management of sepsis & septic shock
- To improve personal skills in the management of sepsis according to the common sources of infection
